Job Description Circulation Director – This person will oversee all non-editorial functions of the magazine – Circulation, Advertising, and Marketing/Publicity – and will work with the Publications Coordinator/Executive Editor and Executive Director to fulfill the vision for the magazine: to launch a national, subscriptions-based magazine separate from a benefit of API membership that is able to support itself and eventually API through advertising sales. This person will be creating strategy and following through with key staff to find and break into new markets, and maintain and enhance existing market presence. This person will need to have experience in the magazine publishing industry, be a self-starter and an innovator, and be adept in:
• Marketing a new and established magazine
• Increasing circulation of a new and established magazine
• Selling advertising for a new and established magazine.
