Job Description AP Month Event Manager

Objective:
To manage the annual AP Month activities.

Responsibilities:

• Create and manage all documentation and content related to AP Month.
• Administer APM Central website.
• Coordinate sponsorships, partnerships, contests and other components and team efforts.
• Initiate manageable growth.
• Work closely with the Development Coordinator, Leader Liaison and other staff members.
• Communicate effectively with external vendors and staff.
• Offer advice and support to staff.

Knowledge:
• Critical thinking skills.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Blog administrative knowledge a plus.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong contributor in team environments
Qualifications:
• Previous event experience a plus.
• Experience working in deadline-driven environments.
• Able to work well in a team environment and meet deadlines.
• Able to communicate effectively and offer information and guidance to team members.
Estimated Average Time Commitment:
Jan-July planning time may be less than 20 hours per month. August-November may be more hours per month depending on activities planned and team support.

Measure of success:
Leader participation and feedback, partner feedback, staff feedback, positive trends of funds and awareness raised.

Hours per week? This is a seasonal position because APM is October – during the months of Jan – March avgs hours would be less than 5 hours a week, during April – May 5-7 hours/week, June – July 5 hours a week, Aug – September up to 10 hours a week.
