Reedy Hickey Scholarship Fund

Continuing to make a difference by supporting future generations of leaders...

Reedy Hickey is a former API Board Member, La Leche League Leader, Area Professional Liaison for La Leche League of Georgia, and is an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She is the mother of a daughter and son-in-law, a son, two grandchildren, and foster mother to 32 foster babies as they awaited adoption, one at a time. She has practiced Attachment Parenting with all of these children.

The Reedy Hickey Scholarship Fund has been established on the 20th Anniversary of Attachment Parenting International in Reedy's honor, in recognition of her tremendous contributions as a founding Board member of API. This Fund supports parent applicants dedicating themselves to voluntarily lead groups who cannot afford to pay application fees, leader dues, or support group dues. We are grateful to Reedy and her 20 years of guidance and service, and her contributions will continue on through the work of these dedicated volunteers.
