my daughter and i use to have no difficulties with feedings until she got thrush. Now she's continually sliding up the breast, only taking the nipple and getting lots of air (I can hear her smacking away and sucking in the air, which leads to lots of gas). I would love to go and see LLLC however the closest one is an hour and a half away. I've tried switching holds and shoving her as far onto the breast as possible but she simply slides back. If i hold her head she becomes angry. She's two and a half months old and i'm afraid if i don't get it corrected i won't be ever be able to fix it. I would apprieciate any suggestions on how to correct this problem. Thank you to everyone one out there.

On the bottom of the page is a whole bunch of latch links Read as much as you can.
Have you tried La Leche League? Even if you have no local group, they might know someone in your area who could help you. In person help is really nice to have. Keep trying!
