Hi!
I'm wondering how you all survive having multip family members with food allergies. I don't usually like "requiring" my 4 old ds to eat something because I trust that sometimes it's because the food doesn't feel good to him. In hindsite, I've looked back at the foods that I really didn't like as a kid and now see that most all of them are foods that I am sensitive to now. So I really try to avoid doing this to my kiddos. However, now I'm finding that I'm going nuts trying to find foods that we can all eat and enjoy.
I used to love to cook and am a foodie at heart but with all of our allergies, I find that we are eating out WAY to much just so that each of us can order something that we can eat.
I am sensitive to the nightshade family, chicken and turkey (I'm really a vegetarian anyway so those don't matter), sugar, chocolate, finding that I'm becoming sensitive to dairy and also soy (thanks to a soy hair conditioner I was using). <sigh>
DH is reacting to beans. DS 1 is sensitive to corn, sugar, chocolate, turkey, and now reacting a bit to agave nectar because we use it to sub for sugar. He's also wanting to eat ALOT of dairy now and I'm wondering if he's developing a bit of a sensitivity to it to. Oy. DS 2 is rice, oats and a little dairy.
So you all can see, and I'm sure empathize with, my problem. We can't keep eating out all of the time but I'm at a loss as to how to cook w/o making 2-4 different meals each night.
What do you guys to do make meal times easier?? Help!!!
TIA!

I'd say it sounds like your dds are reacting to foods of some sort since their eczema is so bad. I only had a bit of it with my rash on the insides of my arms and it drove me nuts so I can only imagine how awful their skin must feel! Poor girls!
to them!
