I'm not real sure if this belongs here or in the general forum, but because food allergies was included in the Journal of API's Special Needs issue, here goes:
My daughter, Rachel, is 21 months old and seems to always have a rash, usually on her face and sometimes up and down her legs and arms. She is susceptible to drug reactions (known drug allergies to ibuprofen and penicillin), and she's related to me -- someone who has to change brands of lotions, soap, deoderant on a regular basis as I become allergic to them. I'm always careful about using hypoallergenic skin products and using the baby clothing detergent.
So my next thought is that maybe she has a food allergy. She loves all food and never has been a picky eater, but today, her rash seemed to get redder and more bumpy a little while after she ate. Does anyone have any thoughts on this, or how I should go about trying to figure out where she's getting these rashes?
