April book to read: Respectful Parents, Respectful Kids

    #1
    Hello All,

Okay, our book for April is....

Respectful Parents, Respectful Kids by Sura Hart and Victoria Kindle Hodson.
    http://www.attachmentparenting.org/c...products_id=28

Since we are not officially kicking off until May we will enjoy the discussion together of this book and use this month to get comfortable with our format for discussion... let's figure out together what works and doesn't work :-)

The publisher for this book will be donating to API 10 more additional books on top of the 6 still available for purchase. We are in contact with the authors of the book to see if they can join us for a premium forum (nominal fee) at the end of this month. They are checking their schedules and will get back to us at the end of this week. So keep your fingers crossed!

Looking forward to discussing with you online!

Authors will be available April 28th through May 2nd!!

Exciting news. I just heard back from the authors and they will be available to moderator our premium forum for the week of April 28th through May 2nd. This is an excellent opportunity for us readers as well as a great first fundraiser for API

The premium forum will be available for us for a nominal fee. The exact fee and details are being finalized but it will be less than $5.

Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.

We actually decided that having them moderate the forum on April 28th wouldn't allow enough reading time for our members to join in the discussion. Right now the authors are checking their schedule to see if they can moderate the premium forum (nominal fee) for May 19th through May 23rd.

In the meantime, let's begin reading and getting the discussion going!

Great news, the authors have agreed to moderate the forum from May 19th through May 23rd. We are in the process of setting up the premium forum so that you can start subscribing and being a part of this discussion with them at the end of May. Please let me know if you have any questions.

This is so exciting, our inaugural author chat! I, for one, cannot wait.

Sounds exciting! What exactly does "moderate the forum" mean?

Very good question. It means that during that time period from May 19-23 they will answer any questions, observations, or dialogues that you put into their premium forum. They will also think of their own points to bring out to help continue the discussion. It is your own personal time to interact with the authors in a secluded area in which they are 100% dedicated to being available. Does that help?
