On page 145 Larry writes about the effect on girls vs boys when their cup is consistently refilled. Do you find this to be true in your own experience or those around you?

"When children -- most commonly boys -- are not able to get their cups refilled consistently, they often become impulsive and inattentive. Other children, most commonly girls, can become timid and mousy. The only thing boys know how to do when they are frustrated is to be aggressive; the only thing some girls know how to do when they are frustrated is to sulk or follow passively along."
