Thank you Melodie! We still wear Kieran on occasion in our ABC Carrier or Ergo, but not nearly as often as we used to. He's usually too interested in running around and exploring!

This is great. I especially like that you've felt you've been able to model babywearing with him to the point that he has his own baby carrier. I always wanted my girls to have one and although they still could, now that I'm not carrying either of them around in one anymore, I wonder who they would model if they had their own for their dolls? I have friends who babywear but we don't see them regularly. I know Kieran is an only child at this point so it's neat to see that he's interested in carrying around his own toys even if nobody is carrying him anymore. Or are you?

Thank you, Emily! We try hard not to give Kieran gender-stereotyped toys. I want to nurture every aspect of his personality!

Ha! Well, the feeding of the handful of sugar packets probably had more to do with the subsequent hyperactivity than the way they are parented ;)

What a lovely post! As a mama to one girl, I love seeing your little boy with his own doll and doll carrier. That alone is encouraging about this next generation! Thanks so much for sharing.

What a great article AND the bonus pictures are wonderful!!! I couldnt agree more with everything you have said ,it just makes me a little sad that I wasn't wise enough or prepared enough to parent YOU this same way when you were a little one!!
After experiencing the difference last night at dinner between Kierans behavior and the behavior of those other two young diners I would say that you and Tom have made some VERY good choices for my precious grandson!!!
I love you!!
